1. Washing

Before washing your human hair wig, ensure you detangle it with your fingers or a large toothed comb. It is best to start at the tip and work your way up to the top.

While washing your human wig, place it under running water preferably in a sink. This is to prevent it from getting tangled. Gently massage portions of shampoo on the hair to form lather. Make you do not twist the hair in the process. Once its clean, rinse out shampoo with clean running water and gently dry off the water with a clean towel.

2. Hair conditioning

The best time to apply hair conditioning is while your human hair wig is still wet. This allows the conditioner to get to all parts of the hair. Apply a small quantity of hair conditioner to your palm and gently work it on the hair. Ensure you spread the conditioner evenly in the hair and leave in for a few minutes. When the hair is properly saturated with hair conditioner, detangle with your fingers and comb with a wide toothed comb and rinse with clean running water.

If your human hair wig is curly, use a leave in conditioner to keep your curls. You do not have to wash off leave-in conditioning.

3. Hair drying

Gently dry out excess water from your human hair wig with a towel and air dry it on a wig-stand. Do not use a blow-dryer as this could damage your wig. Apply hair oil or serum to it and style as desired. You could use styling tools like hot combs and flat irons to style your human hair wig.
